The Government Technical Institute (Mohnyin) is located nearby Aung Tha Pyay (3) Quarter Mohnyin, Mohnyin District in Kachin State and covers an area of 51.399 acres. The Government Technical Institute (Mohnyin) established on January 1, 2004. Then in 2007, on January 20th, it was extended and opened as the Government Technological College (Mohnyin). Then in 2007, on January 20th, it was extended and opened as the Government Technological College (Mohnyin). A.G.T.I courses have been opened since the 2013-2014 academic year to this day. Bachelor of Engineering (BE) graduates were last produced for the 2017-2018 academic year. Short-term courses are also offered annually according to local needs. In 2022, it was renamed as the Government Technical Institute(Mohnyin).
